For $40 more, I would have went with The Fastman. And just not deal with Hughes.

I have heard people praise hughes and others that have had horror stories seems if you get the right part in good condition the first time its not a problem....and also I think it really depends on your luck with who picks up the phone, kinda why im leary to buy the airgap....but there the only ones that sell it

pulled this from Hughes website

Our Return Policy If you receive a defective or wrong part, contact us immediately before returning the part. All returns require that you call for a RMA# (Return Merchandise Authorization). All returned parts are subject to a 20% restocking fee at our discretion. No returns after 30 days. Finished jobs will be charged a minimum $5.00 a day storage after 30 days. The shipping charges on all returns must be pre-paid; we do not accept C.O.D. returns.

Default returns

Yes I read that on their site. Like said before if the part was ordered and not in any way defective I would eat the 20% and not have any thing to say about them. What I didnt like was the fact that the part is defective and was told (with not so great of and attitude) that basicly i shouldnt have a problem with it, and to return it I have to eat the 20%.

There have been a few reporting defective castings of the airgap too here on df. Like I said I returned my pan which I haven't heard anyone having to replace before. And this is the first throttlebody. That said, I don't really know anyone with a hughes TB. Its either fastman, homebrew mod, blkdakart port n polish, or the f&b.

This was my first pan I got. Look at all the scratches. I was disapointed to see that many scratches when i first opened the packaged. I can live with the scratches... except on the sealing surface, so I sent it back.

And here was the underbelly comming pre-gunked up.

.......

Night and day difference from the old and new one I recieved.
