Hughes engines customer service problem?
You ordered it with a credit card right? Just return it... call your credit card company and explain the situation. They will reverse the charges from the vendor, and give you a refund for the amount of that product. I wouldn't put up with that restocking fee crap when they sent you a POS product.

WOW! I can't believe they want to charge you the restocking fee. They state on their site that it's "their discretion"... fine. But when the part is obviously defective, any REPUTABLE company would be in a hurry to make the customer happy! Customers talk to each other.
I used to work at a building materials store that was great with customer service. They went as far as to accept for return a new Craftsmen saw blade an old lady wanted to return. Yes, I know... Craftsmen is a Sears product. We didn't sell it to her. But because she believed down deep in her heart she purchaed it from us, we took the blade and gave her her money back! She had always been a good, loyal customer. For the small cost of the blade, we kept her very, very happy.
Hughes needs to learn from stories like that. Oh, and I should mention I got the run around from them (for a short time) on a gasket kit problem. They finally credited my cc and didn't require the return of the part. I was happy in the long run... but I shouldn't have experienced any problems in the first place.
