zman just got off the phone with the guy he says didnt really hurt the motor and is letting it go with alt, water pump, all accs, he sold the torqu conv. with the tranny but i shouldnt need that i think i saw a post about i could use the one i already have is this right?
+1, forgot about the PCM. But that's minor. Dealer or an SCT tuner will take care of that. As far as the TC goes, since it's apart I'd replace it and the front seal regardless. (providing funds).
You could still replace it though as they are only about $80 and tend to go bad.
back from picking up the motor and it looks great was a small fire but looking at the pickup it was right front firewall, the intake and injecters look good plugends are not burnt and actually look great/could I use this intake? injectors? just put my throttle body on ti and run it?

Hey You, will this work? i have used the search and most use thier intake so i took it for granted i would have to also,I do know most of the youpullit places i checked, the motor didnt come with a intake. maybe this is why they were using thiers?
Intakes are exactly the same. Injectors on the larger motor might have a higher flow rate than the 318, so, if they look good, use 'em. Use the rest of the sensors off of your old motor.
Keep in mind, if the plenum on the 'new' motor hasn't been repaired yet.... it's gonna need it. Lot easier to do it on an engine stand, than in the truck. If you have already fixed yours, do the manifold swap, but, use the injectors off of the larger motor.
