Default Budget Lift

Hey guys, just recently bought a 98 1500 4x4 Quad Cab. I'm lookin to lift it as much as possible for as cheap as I can. Hopin to keep it under say 4-500 if possible? I've found a few coil spacer and add-a-leaf kits for real cheap but they dont usually go more than 3", anyone have links to a taller cheap lift?

Another question on the topic, what does it take to install a body lift? Can it be done at home with a normal set of tools and a jack?

Thanks for all the help.

the reason that the cheap kits dont go over 3in is because around 3in you will need new contoll arms

you also can put in v10 or CTD coil springs and gain 2+ in's

I'm thinking about doing a 2" Susp lift by rough country with the new nitro shocks, and then a 3" perf. accessories body lift for 5" overall, that'd be enough to clear 35's right?

The words "cheap" and "lift" shouldn't be used together.

i PERSONALLY HATE body lifts! anyhow, if you want cheap, get blocks for the rear, front will require LOTS of drop brackets

You don't have money for a lift but you have money for the tires? That doesn't seem right to me.

How about this. Save the money you have, and when you can get a quality spring/spring lift with good shocks, control arms, and track bar instead of buying cheap spacer lift crap. You and your truck will be very happy with that.
