i get this rattle or pinging noise that is most easily heard after the truck is warmed up, in 3rd gear, between 3000-3500 rpm's. any clue of what this could be? thanks

Just keep an eye on your oil level. Mine would suck down three quarts in a hundred or so miles.

Don't forget that meanwhile the o2 sensor is probably bad and your cat is getting clogged, which could possibly lead to a cracked head or two if you don't fix it ASAP

If the cat clogs, all that heat backs up to the motor and bad things can happen. It's not a guarantee , but it can happen.

Hey Zman, how long do you think you can drive your rig with a blown plenum without casing major damage? I ask because I left my air-gap at my bro's house and I haven't had a chance to go get it (he live's 200 miles from me). I planned on getting it the end of Feb and I know my plenum's blown.
