i would definitely call comp. really depends on your goal and supporting mods, not to mention getting some r/t or eq heads isn't a bad idea, however it may be out of your budget. the 1.7s may limit you as far as lift goes, but the end result will be the same. i think stock heads are good to .510?

You'll need better springs for a cam, the 1.7s are pushing the stock springs as it is....You can get a cam ground for the 1.7s, but if they are the non adj HS rockers, your push rod length will have to be dead nuts on...

It's a great little cam, I had one once upon a time, nice lope...but like I said, it's going to need springs.

.508 intake/.510 exhaust - Duration: 206° intake/210° exhaust @ .050 112° LSA

It'll pass emissions

well damn.. Now I'm really thinkin' about rebuilding mine instead of dropping all that coin for a 408.. stripping her all the way and working it over on the way back up w/ polishing, balancing, new heads and cam.. Shoot, it will do all I want it to do with that..

I've a suspicion a 408 built similarly would cost me a lot of $$ in build, gas, and little pink slips too..

You can get a stock cam re-ground for 1.7s...Hundreds/thousands of people have...I did. Tell those bozos to go back to smoking their corn cob pipes.

He's probably talking about valve cover clearance...To run 1.7s with the stock covers you need to smash the baffles flat...But you have 1.7s now right...? Any problems...?

No.

Bugs the **** out of me when shops that don't know **** about Mopar say they do...Dumb asses.

Pick a grind, and unless you are going all out...Anything close will work, and have your stock cam re-ground. Or buy a stock cam for a core so you don't have any down time.

The issue (but easily fixed) is your stock push rods and springs...Did Mr Corn Cob say anything about that?
