Default V 10 oil pressure

My v10 is slow to make oil pressure. Fresh oil 10 30 synthetic. 116,ooo. Its got a lifter tick at cold start up goes away with oil pressure. It takes long enough that the check gauge light dings. Any idea of whats causing this.

Partially clogged pickup tube. Oil pump getting bad.....

There were some issues on some of the early V-10s that some bolts in the backing plate for the oil pump would work their way loose, and you would lose the seal at that point, resulting in poor/NO oil pressure.

What is your pressure at idle, with the engine fully warmed up?

Welcome to DF.

good pressure at idle 40 or slightly above when warmed up although it never truely fully warms up in this frozen hell.
