It might if it's in safe mode in 3rd, don't know for sure since it hasn't happened to me, just thinking.

 

It is a 4 speed transmission The shifter has manual spots of PRND21. It should have a od off and or tow/haul button on the end of the shifter. If it is taking off in second or only shifting from 1-2, you need to see a transmission shop.
