Default Engine miss/tune up

I replaced plugs, wires, distributor cap,and rotor less than 25,000 miles ago. I have been looking for a miss for 3 days now. I checked the fuel presser and was at 40 psi. Today I puled the plugs and one of the wires fell apart. So I got new ones for free. Took off the distributor cap and it was burnt. I am just wondering what kind to get? Do I get brass thermals or does it matter? Thanks for the help.
