Default Gears.

I have a 97' dodge ram 1500 v8 magnum. It's a 2 speed truck, how would one go about increasing that? to like a 4 speed or something?

Two speed like go and stop? I've known a few people with two speed vehicles, they're scary to ride with.

My truck doesn't have an RPM gauge which sucks. But to give it a little more detail.

P R N D 1 2

Most vehicles are 1 2 3 4 even 5. My truck will not get into second gear until atleast 50, and it's just so slow.

Try putting it in "D" for drive. Then you can use ALL the gears.

Have I been a member long enough to be a smartass yet?

Is this thread a joke? There haven't been two speed transmissions in fifty years.

you have a 3 speed trans with an Over drive unit tacked on. 4 gears effectively.

I don't even think you can get to 50 in first gear.
