TBs really dont need comparison, its pretty standard knowledge, that the smaller the TB the more low end grunt and vice versa.

here are intake reults

air gap is nothing more then a carb manifold with injector bungs casted in.it was designed to flow wet vs dry as in MPFI.should have designed it without the turtle on the plenum floor which is a carb thing(adds turbulance).worth 600,hell no.worth the wow factor.to some it is.MP M1 2BBL was designed to flow dry not wet therefore it is a true MPFI manifold.which makes more power/torque.the M1 is dyno/track proven.air gap fi is not.mainly because most dont want to shell out 6 bills for a carb manifold.

I reckon' I'm all alone in this assessment:

The FI ended any concern about a plenum gasket blowing out- plain and simple... It may or may not add performance, though I suspect it does in fact increase velocity of air going in there, and that air isn't pulling from a huge reserve (plenum) of warmed air- as the time from "air dangling out in front of my truck, minding it's own business and then being violently sucked in, through, and out my exhaust" has been shortened- meaning cooler air at a higher velocity makes it in there- and theoretically, that should account for a pony or two..

As far as the TB is concerned, a larger opening only allows more air in quicker- meaning your foot doesn't have to move as far to achieve the same amount of flow.. It will absolutely allow more air in on the top end, but down low and through normal driving, it ain't going to add a single pony in any way- it will just increase the throttle response and nothing more...

I'm not one to believe my understanding is flawless by any stretch of the thinkin' noodle, so please- fire away and set me straight..

I posted a comparison of Modded Kegger, FI AirGap, and M1 somewhere around here. The airgap is a dual plane manifold, designed more for midrange power. M1 is single plane, designed more for the top end. Kegger gives the best low end grunt.

Hughes is the only place the airgap is available, in a MPFI form...... one of the reasons it is so hideously expensive.

there are a few more around Hey You.. I went with the Hughes FI because it came with everything.. Believe it or not there are others around- but by the time you put together gasket kits, bolts, fuel rail hangers ect.. the prices climb to match or exceed Hughes..

wow. that's surprising. I haven't been able to really find anything else compatible. Of course, I didn't look real hard either, checked jegs, and summit....... Not that I see myself spending 600 on a manifold anytime soon.
