there are actaully just two choices- M1 or Airgap. in order of low end grunt to top end power: modded keg, airgap, M1.

50mm fastman for a modded keg. 52mm for m1 or airgap

M1 and a 52mm throttle body, you can find a 52mm for about 150 shipped if you look around on ebay and the other forums.

There's a DF member that's selling some TB's in the parts for sale section.

with your mods id say find an m1 intake, as you already probably have enough long end grunt. As for throttle body depends on what you want for future. If you are serious about this truck look for a 58mm as there is no point in paying for a throttle body more than once. I run a 4bbl throttle body on my whipple charged indy

also look for a set of heads, there is a set by me in my local mustang shop that are 1.92 r/t aluminum heads for $500 but are drilled to work with other intakes so I might need to snag these up and try on my brothers dakota to see how they work out

i would not go above 55 even for blown apps.

53 for a 408 and 50-52 for a 360.

a 58mm for his app would produce horrendous throttle response

I dont think there is anything wrong with 55 or 58mm as your only problem is making sure to get the air out through the exhaust

I am pretty sure he was looking for the best gains for the best PRICE, in which case get the M1 for around 400 and a 52mm throttle body for 150. No sense in going overkill on the throttle body, why spend $500 bucks on a billet throttle body that is no better than a modded stocker, especially one that is done right, and no sense in going huge right away and loosing your bottom end power especially if you go with a M1 on a mild build 360, he doesn't have the cam or displacement to support that much cfm. The amazing thing about throttle bodies is the fact that once modified correctly that they retain much of their resale value, thus if he needed to upgrade in the future he could potentially get just as much money out of his used one that he spent on it and upgrade to larger on if he chose to do so.
