Still losing about a half quart every 100 miles, still not really at the bottom of the problem. Did a compression test on the passenger side tonight and i got the readings 135,135,120,95 from front to back. Im leaning now more towards the rings, which sucks......

Didnt try the wet test yet, but i also just did the valve seals so i dont think if a valve wasnt seating properly an oil would get down into the cylinder.

how much where the seals? and how hard were they to replace? ive been losing about 2 quarts in between oil changes(3k) and my truck smokes a little on start up too, so ive been leaning towards the valves/cracked head.

Where did you get your PCV valve from? The aftermarket fellers are pretty good about sucking large quantities of oil into the intake....... Get one from the dealer, they are actually the correct flow rate.

Seals were pretty cheap, they didnt fix the problem tho. It was probbably about 70$ with the gaskets and tools that were needed. Heyyou, i have the pcv disconnected so that cant be the issue. Any other ideas?

PCV system also helps the rings seal. You actually want it working correctly.

Just got back from the dealer with a new pcv, so well see what happens. Not getting any smoke, none at all. Not on excel either
