Default Failed Inspection!

So my truck failed inspection. It failed for not having a working check engine bulb. I had to take out my instrument cluster and solder in a new LED bulb in the circuit board. The previous owner twisted the bulb to break it so the check engine light didnt show when i bought the truck. The light came on as soon as i put the cluster back in. The truck also failed for a code. P0138..02 sensor...replaced bank 1 sensor 2. I had the codes cleared and drove the truck for a little bit then had it inspected. The check engine light was off when i had it inspected and on after the second failed inspection. My inspection sheet read no codes but the check engine light was on so i took it to autozone to have the codes read. It threw a P0301, P0302, and P0303....cylinders misfiring...the truck runs fine with no noticeable problems. The spark plugs were all about .020 over so i replaced them all. The service tech at the dodge dealer told me to dissconnect my battery terminal to clear the code. should i clear the code and drive it around for a week or so?

The truck is a 2000 Ram 1500, 318, 4x4

Yeah they arent allowed to clear codes at autozone in NJ i had one chick do it cause I used my smoooooothness on her. A dude at autozone told me he could be fined 10k for clearing a code i dont know how true that is though. I dont really want to remove my battery terminals because I have a sound system in there and my head unit is tuned pretty good and if i remove power from it all factory settings on my head unit will be restored.

Dealer can clear it... He'll charge you, but if you are that adamant about not disconnecting the battery...

Will my check engine light go off by itself if there isnt a code? Or should i say will the code go away if the problem is fixed like say IF my cylinder misfire codes were caused by over gapped old spark plugs. when i put the new ones in will the truck realize that the cylinders arent misfiring anymore and terminate the code by itself causing the check engine light to go out..and me being able to finally get my passed inspection sticker so i dont get any more 150 dollar tickets?

Thanks for the info..I think before I paid to do that I would write down all of my settings on paper and reset them after I disconnected the battery to clear the code.
