ARB Locker
Anyone have an ARB locker installed in the front axle ? I can get a brand new one for a really good price . I was wondering what some may have used as an air source and how well the locker installed and performed . Thanks in advance .
the arb i looked at was $905 bucks did you find one cheaper?, that would be a good route to go or the OX cable locker around a grand ??? but both are pretty proud of thier products, thought i read somewhere about a Elocker ,electric just flip a switch to lock it. http://www.eaton.com/EatonCom/Produc...cker/index.htm
ive got one in my rock crawler and works awesome , when i bought the locker i got the small compact compressor for free and it works very well and good for tight spots
most people stay away from the e-locker as a selectable locker because is far weaker than the arb , same thing with the ected locker
if your gonna do selectable arb is the way to go
edit: just looked at your sig , if it is still accurate , get a locker in the back first before you get the locker up front
LSD doesnt count as a true locker

Well I can get a brand new one with 2 outer bearings for $350 . I know it's a wicked deal, do you know if I can use a manual hand pump or do I need an electric compressor . It takes only 7 psi to lock . I'm gonna buy it for sure and even if I decide not to install it i will have no problem selling it.

I'm going to put a detroit in the rear , but the price on the ARB is too good to pass up , and there is no selectable locker available for the Chrysler corporate . the limited slip works well until i really need traction and then it's useless. But it will burn both tires nicely .

Any chance on using some kind of hand air pump ? I have so much electronics wired in , i would like to avoid an electric compressor if i could . I have heard of jeep guys using bicycle pumps and blood pressure cuff pumps . ??? Thanks

in arb's manual which i have right in front of me it says the air supply must meet a minimum of 85psi which actuates the locker and not exceed 105 psi
plus why would you want to be using a hand pump with 4 wheeling lol , if your in the situation you need the front locker i dont think you want to be trying push the pump a million times
if your dead set on not using electronics get the c02 tank with a regulator and inline air solenoid
