ARB Locker
#11
Alright, went and looked at it and it is not an ARB , it is an air locker/limited slip from a jeep rubicon . Does anyone know if this will even work in my Dana 44 ? I did a little research and there are various statements . Some say it depends on if you have thick gears or not . Does this make any sense ? I'm confused .....more than ever .

i think it depends on what year jeep , pretty sure all the new jeeps use a hybrid dana 44
easiest way to figure out if it will work is find out if the part number for that locker and see if it crosses over between the dodge dana 44 and a jeep dana but pretty sure they are different part numbers

I don't see anything common here.
here's the ARB model numbers you would need for the Dodge Ram 1500 D44. you can check the application guide for whatever's in the Jeep to see if its the same number.

RAM 1500
Front 1994-03 Dana 44 33.3 (1.31") splines 30
3.91 & UP RD116
3.73 & DN RD117
Rear 1994 on Chrysler 9.25" dia. RG splines 31
NA
JK Wrangler Rubicon
Front 2007 on replacement for 32 SPL Rock-Trac e-locker All All RD1578

the OP only mentioned rubicon which came out in 03 which is why i posted it depends on what year i didnt see JK
the TJ rubicon used the same dana as the dodge but it depends on what gear ratio you have
the jk came out in 06 which had the weird dana 44
3.92+ is RD 116
3.73 and below is RD 117
