I am in the same boat. I hear good things about Randy's Ring & Pinion and HorsepowerTV Xtreme 4X4 always uses their services.

How do you use your truck....and my neighbor works for a chevy dealer and has never had a richmond gear come back broken, most of his rear end work is done with high horsepower corvettes and camaros and diesels

There was another thread on just this topic today. Question becomes, what is the primary use of your truck? Daily driver? Freeway? Towing? Off-roading? Drag strip?

Ok, so, what would your priority be for best usage then? What do you really want from the truck? (and how much highway to you really do?)

The choice to go to 4.88 or not really boils down to how much highway driving you do and what speeds. If you hit the interstate everyday and like to do 75-80, stay with 4.56.

Also, if you think there is a chance that you will downsize to smaller tires someday, 4.56 would be better again.

Can you put 4.56 gears into a normal Dana 60 housing without issues? Do you only need to replace the Ring and Pinion or more than that? I need to do both front and rear at the same time, correct?
