Gears
Well fellas its time to throw some gears in the ride. 4.88s or 4.56. I don't care about mileage at all, truck gets 10 right now with thee 35s and 3.55s. Just looking for some input oh what gears and what brand
How do you use your truck....and my neighbor works for a chevy dealer and has never had a richmond gear come back broken, most of his rear end work is done with high horsepower corvettes and camaros and diesels
daily driver, that is going to see the highway, that is going to tow, that is going to be out in the silver lake sand dunes, and its going to take my out into the woods

The choice to go to 4.88 or not really boils down to how much highway driving you do and what speeds. If you hit the interstate everyday and like to do 75-80, stay with 4.56.
Also, if you think there is a chance that you will downsize to smaller tires someday, 4.56 would be better again.

Can you put 4.56 gears into a normal Dana 60 housing without issues? Do you only need to replace the Ring and Pinion or more than that? I need to do both front and rear at the same time, correct?
