Steering issues.

Default Steering issues.

Went to bring a friend home last night, turned the wheel left easy then it put me in the other lane....wouldnt turn right , then it almost like pops and it gets past the stuck part and does it again....Im a big dude and I could barely turn the wheel...Everything looks good ...anybody else have this happen its like steering is seized

Did it feel like power steering without the power? Or was it physically being restrained by something?

No it feels like a tooth on a gear almost.....Then i bust past the section of "lockup" and it goes again..then locks back up...

Put the front end up on jackstands, with the engine off, cycle your steering back and forth, and see if you can get a repeat performance.

so i didnt get to put itg up tonight but i did try to turn the wheel with it not running and the key turned though...moved fine, hard but its no powersteering hard.. Then started it up.. and it hit the spots again ...tryed it again and same???? maybe this will help i will have to put it up tomorrow anyways gonna start pulling the trans i think...still dont have a trans jack...

Hydraulic issue..... probably the steering box itself is going. What does your fluid look like?

Well my fluid looks good. I was looking at my steering box. and the shaft that they show is way tighter then mine...mine looks like its an inch to low maybe . look at this picture mine looks like its already tried to be replaced but its pulled even further then the one in the pic.
