Dana 60 32 spline axle
Ok... so all my research tells me my 01 ram 2500 has the dana 60 with 32 spline axles. I am wanting to get a locker for the rear. As far as I can see Detroit doesnt handle them? I like the idea of the powertrax but cant see where they handle a part number for the 32 spline 60. I found one for the dana 70 32 spline which doesnt help me. Maybe I am missing something but can anyone tell me what my options for a rear locker would be?

I seem to recall 35 splines, not 32...? Is that something unique to 2001?
I see they list a 32 spine axle in some of my spec sites but it doesn't seem connected to this one.
EDIT: I'm believing that the 32 spline is on the front axle only. I'm gonna research that myself a bit more.
BTW, if you can find your BOM # you can run it on the dana web site and it should tell you.

- GM / Chevy versions are passenger side differential drop, standard rotation gears, kingpin knuckles and 35 Spline axle shafts.
- Dodge versions were passenger side differential drop, standard rotation gears, kingpin knuckles and 35 spline axle shafts in early models. The 2nd Generation axles were drivers side with ball joints. 30 Spline axle shafts were used instead of 35 splines, except 2000, 2001 and 2002 models which were equipped with 32 spline axle shafts.
- Ford versions are drivers side differential drop, reverse-cut gears, and kingpin knuckles up to 1991. The later axles have ball joints. Ford Dana 60 axles mostly feature 35 spline axle shafts.

I'm dealing with exactly what you are going through. I have a late model Dana 60 with rear disc brakes that I thought might be 32 splines based upon the same research you did. I decided to verify the spline count of what I had by pulling the axle and it ended up that it was a 30 spline axle. I wanted to install a 30 spline Power lock posi unit into this Dana 60. I found a new unused unit on eBay and purchased it. Unfortunately, I found out the hard way that some posi units are not machined to allow for the installation of the tone ring (which mine wasn't), so I'm currently working with a machinist to rectify this issue for my posi unit.
The moral to my story - do not trust what's written on the web. Pull the axle and count the splines yourself so you know what you have! Hope this helps.
