sounds like the switch for the 4x4 light is stuck on in your CAD either that or your front axle is stuck engaged..id recommend checking the switch first its the thing that the wires go into on the CAD unit

Probably a short in the wiring to the sensor on the cad, or a short in the sensor itself. Try unplugging it and wiggling the wires around a bit.

have you tried to spin your tires in dirt? if just your back two (or 1) spin your in 2wd, if it trys to even grip with one of the front tires, your cad assembly could be stuck in the lock position,

also try to engage 4wd drive drive straight about 10-15 feet, the disengage it, back up straight 15 feet. i use to have to do this in my old ford pick-up

if you had read the entire first post i stated that its not in 4wd. i know its not because i used it the other night and spun my tires on ice to make sure it was out. i have tried everything to try to get the light to go off to no avail.

well i fixed my 4wd light issue. i crawled under my truck yesterday to gut my cat and noticed the red vacuum line was disconnected by the t-case. plugged it back in and the light goes on and off like it should now!

I had same issues and my vac line got a hole in it by the cat. New vac line and perfect!
