mopar pcm 5.2 vs 5.9
5.9 Mopar PCM runs a 5.2 just fine, mine ran fantastic, AFRs were spot on (Wideband verified). I've posted this several times and people are still passing around misinformation.
I also spent $100 on my Mopar PCM and it was the best $100 I ever spent on this truck.

You need to match ALL THESE THINGS:
1. Year
2. Model (1500, 2500)
3. Engine
4. Tranny
5. 4x4 or 2x4
6. Off road package is different.
the fuses in the PDC vary from year to year and model to model in the same year. So, you need to be EXACT.
I haven't sold it and at that price it is like giving it away. you will never be able to sell it. I tried on ebay and it got one bid for 50 dollars. But i had the reserve at 100 dollars.
100 dollars is not a very good buying price. it is a good starting price. offer him 50 and I bet he will take it. Show him the cash too.
I have a 5.9 auto PCM running my 5.2 5 speed.
Perhaps with OBD1, it mattered less, but I know for a fact that on OBD2 PCM's, they are hit or miss whether it will work from a 5.9 to a 5.2. Some work, some work partially, some put your truck in limp mode. My advice on OBD2 swaps is to make everything match (engine, trans type, security group, etc...). I do beleive that OBD1 is less picky though, so the OP might be ok. I still think $100 is too much though. Just my opinion.
Just thought I would add anymore thing the 94-95 MP computers are hard to find because they are not making them anymore. So that might make the price come up a bit.
Edit: My bad you can still buy them I was just on ebay and jegs has them on there.

I think OEM replacement Mopar PCMs are still being made. Unless they started making them again though, there are no new Mopar Performance PCM's being made, haven't been for years. Some sites still list them, but if you go to actually buy one, you will usually get an out of stock message. Pretty sure this is true for all years, but I know for a fact it is true for 99-01 Performance PCM's.

i had a guy with a 5.2, auto tranny, 95, offer me a chip. (orginal-bought in 96 and i heard this guy is very meticulous with his property. Some people I know end up knowing him real well. Even for a 4x4. Two prblems. he wanted 250 and his was a 2500, mines a 1500. Doubt its a diff. Im guessing I should tell him only an idiot would pay that much and offer much less? I have heard that the originals do wonders for the dodges.
