Default How to verify lift specs

In late Dec 2010 I bought a 1994 Ram 2500 4x4 with a single cab, 5.9 Gas (140k), 5-speed and SUPPOSEDLY a 4" lift. It has 285/75-16 tires but the rest appeared stock but had obvious wear from off road use/abuse. It does appear to have aftermarket shocks but I can't verify the name brand of them.

Is there a way to verify that it actually has a lift? It has two blocks under the rear spring packs but I'm not sure if they are stock or what. I'm mainly just curious as I like to know what I'm dealing with especially as I plan to return it to good condition over the coming years.

Thanks for any help.

Brandon

Truck came from the factory with one block under the rear springs. That would be the one with the bump stop on it. Second block is from the lift. Measure it. How tall is it?
With a 4 inch lift, don't be surprised if the rear block is only two or three inches.

Check the front springs, see if there are spacer blocks on top, between the spring, and upper spring pocket.

The rear blocks look like two identical 2" blocks stacked on each other. The front springs have some sort of rubber spacer in the top but I can't tell if it's anything more than a normal rubber bushing/dampener.

The shocks are silver and made in Mexico. They are definitely not stock Monroes. At least I don't think they are.

Sounds like its got a 2 inch lift then, one block out back is stock, the other is the lift. And the rubber thing on top of the spring is a 2 inch lift spacer. I have never seen any other size available in them. My guess is 2 inch suspension lift, and might have gotten another 2 inches out of tire diameter. So total measureable lift of 4 inches.

2" suspension makes more sense to me. This thing is not riding that high for a 4" lift. I mean these trucks already rode a little higher than Chevy trucks but mine is not that tall.

Thanks for the inputs.
