I was just concerned about it being able to mount up to an auto trans being since it came off of a manual trans. Just was curious if it was a direct swap.

Should be. According to theory, the only difference between auto, and manual trans, was the depth of the input hub. It should still mount up to the auto without a problem. You want a t-case from a 97 or older truck though, the newer ones won't have the provision for the VSS in the output tailhousing.

Yup, I got the truck sitting in my yard and it's a 97 so in "theory" I guess I'm good right? I even went as far as to cut the plug with about a foot of slack in case I have to splice it into the project vehicle. I didnt mean to hijack to original posters thread. It's just that this is the first info I was able to find after a great deal of searching. The end goal is a dakota sitting on dana 60s with a 360 pushing about 400hp lol.
