Default Trim Mounting Question

Hey everyone,
I was wondering how the side trim peices and emblems (like the ram 1500) were mounted. (particularly the tailgate trim peice too) Are they held in by plastic rivets of some sort or by some adhesive? I was considering SS/T stlye racing stripes and vinyl emblems and I dont want to tear off the trim to find holes.

The tailgate trim piece is held on by 4 horizontal strips of adhesive. No holes to worry about, but it may take a while to get the adhesive residue off.

I recently did this to my truck using the instructions in the link provided. It worked great! Definitely beats using finger nails and goo gone. I couldn't find any braided fishing line at Walmart so I bought some 50lb test and just twisted it. One tip, when your doing the sawing action with the fishing line, be patient, go slow and make sure you pull lightly against the moulding and not against the truck. The line gets hot and can burn the paint. (it happened to me in one small spot that is thankfully hidden by my fender flares). Also, 2 of the rubber erasers should do the whole truck.

I can't speak for anyone else but for me as you can see in my sig, when I bought my truck back in November, it was missing the piece on the driver door and the passenger door trim was barely hanging on. I put fender flares on the truck recently and the trim on the bed was in the way as well.

the kind of trim ontimeanthony has is actually what I considered reinstalling. I have the old rubber and chrome trim that runs the whole length of the truck. still not sure what to do yet :/
