i have shorty ones i had to rearrange the bolts on the drivers side becuase they wouldnt tighten down on one or two bolts. as for leaks i got leaks in them 2 times blew out 2 gaskets. untill i had my mechanic change the pattern again cause it was causing leaks.. now 4-5 months down the road everything is great!

Buy the locking bolts to save hassles down the road. You will thank yourself

i installed my pacesetter shorties in my drive way in about 3-4 hours and 12-14 beers.
i bought them used but new, if that makes sense. the guy bought them and never installed them and lost the hard-ware.
so i purchased them for $100 and also bought some stage-8 locking header bolts, and felpro metal gaskets.
ive never had a problem with them other than having to re-torque them after the first 200 miles.

In addition to the above, SOAK SOAK SOAK those bolts before you try to remove them. Mine soaked every day for a week before even attempting to pull them. Also, if I had to do it again, I would probably keep the center studs, but I pulled them for the stage 8 header bolts. The studs will help you line everything up if you opt to keep them. You can hang your gasket, and hang your header in place instead of dancing in the engine bay trying to get everything lined up.

Here is a pic of the pacesetters shortys that have been on for a few years. Only picture I have and was taken back in august.

I thought the whole point of the stage 8 bolts was that you didn't have to re-torque?
