Question Transmission trouble

I have a 96 dodge 1500 pickup v8 magnum 318 engine 2WD and i am having transmission trouble so I thought. I replaced it with another and still doing the same thing. I only have first and second gear and reverse want shift to third. I also replaces the TPS but that did not help at all. I can get to 30 MPH and thats it then it comes out of gear like its in neutral. Any Ideas for help. I am not thinking its a Trans problem since I have replace with another and it is still doing the same thing.

Its an internal trans problem, why you got a second with the same problem is beyond me.

First thing I would do is drop the pan, change the fluid and filter, and take a long hard look at the pressure sensor, and solenoid.

Disconnect the 8 pin connector near the rear cooling line.....then place gear selector in D posiition...Trans should be immediately in 3rd gear..If it is not in 3rd, its definetly internal.....
