Does this look like a blown plenum?

Upload your pics to someplace like photobucket, or imageshack, then just use image tags with the direct link to the pic. (the square box with the mountain? in it is for image tags.)

Thanks Hey You!

Let's see if this works.

Again - I'm seeing what I think is a lot of soot inside the exhaust tips after a 5 hour road trip. What do you guys think?

PS - the water is from just washing the truck.

Sorry guys, when I changed my plenum (never checked it, just preventative maint), it was so clean that you could eat off it. And my PCV was functioning properly (the pic of my valvetrain I have shown when i did the RRs during the plenum fix).

It was clean steel down there. I would say that one is blown. It should not look like that. Unless you poured oil down your TB.

soot is normal. Our trucks run rich. It is from unburned fuel.

"soot" could certainly be caused by oil consumption as well... lets see a picture!

Could also be that a previous owner cleaned the throttlebody without removing it from the intake. Washing all the debris down into the intake could make it look dirty like that.

So, you washed it, and then sent us a picture to look at soot?
