Default Steering locked up

98 Ram 1500 4WD

Went to back out of a parking spot at my girls apartment, made it around a loop and the steering locked up. I have to hang off the steering wheel to get any movement. When it does free up, it cycles fine, but will lock again within a full rev of the steering wheel. No leaks.

What are my possibilites?
Is this the box? Ball Joints? Steering shaft looks free.

Put the front end up on jackstands. Cycle the steering with the engine idling. Same problem?? Shut the engine off, see if you get a repeat performance. If not, start looking real hard at the pump, or the box. When you find where it sticks consistently, start disconnecting things until the rest frees up.

Truck is sitting 20 miles away, at my girl's apt. I work all week and the parking pass runs out Tuesday. Hoping to take 1 day off of work, hit a junkyard and throw it on in the parking lot.

This sucks, I feel like all the other interweb forum newbs asking impossible questions.
