Good question. I havent read anything about the plenum on these. Believe me I've read everything I could find. As for the plugs, I would guess heat. They weren't caked with gunk like Ive seen on a real bad motor. They were just covered with fuel.

If it was 4 plugs covered in fuel and it was these 5, 8, 9, 10
I'd say you have an issue with the small coil pack.

I believe the champions (stock) run cooler on the v10 I ran some brand from auto zone and after a week they looked like they were gun metal blue, I switched back to stock which I could only find at a dealer here in NC.

have you tried replacing your crank shaft sensor?
