I did the shift kit and replaced two valves, the Sonnex kit looks a lot better, for the price.

Though I am yet to road test mine due to governor sensor failure.

Which is probably why my 1-2 shifts were so bad in the fist place, which is what led me to tighten the front band to tight, which led to me finding band particles in the pan and in the end caused me to rebuild...

That and I had an oil pump leak..

The VB is not to hard to do if you follow the advice of others.

This guy above me led me to diagnose and discover my electrical failure, and the MonteC guy had helped a few other posters discover the same problem.

There is a wealth of knowledge here, and what isn't on here is linked to from here.

TCC and 4th gear solenoids come as a set. Get new, not reman. Not sure if these should be 'dealer only' parts like cam and crank sensors.

Might consider doing the governor sensor and solenoid too while you are in there.

When I installed my sure cure kit, the instructions were pretty straight forward. You just got to pay attention. The pay off was beautiful. It shifts so smooth, it's ridiculous.

I didn't think they had the electronics sensor or solenoid. Just needed confirmation hate to see the OP buy these two at $100+ and not have them after he drops the pan.
