Default Does a tbi spacer really make any difference?

I'm thinking of putting a t.b.i spacer on my 98 ram 1500 5.2. it says that it helps add a little torque, and helps with gas milege. anybody install one of these yet, and did it help any. it's only a 75 dollar part so if it helps any on the gas im all for it whats your input?

they tb spacer benefits have been debated, but they do add hp on high hp applications.

Therefore, on our trucks they're an excellent way to waste $75 haha

Nope, they do absolutely nothing for our trucks. They were designed for throttle body injected or carbed engines, not port injected like our trucks are. Just a paper weight. Will do nothing for newer engines, high HP or not, unless its carbed or TBI.

In some cases, it has actually hurt power/MPGs on our trucks.

If you do a search, you'll find tons of threads on the subject, but this one is a good one that explains exactly why they do not work.

Yes it will add 10oz to your curb weight and will raise up the throttle body, great if your having clearance problems a waste if your not

mine did nothing on my kegger but when i switched to my air gap i threw it on after haveing the airgap on for three months and noticed a slight gain in throttle response and maybe 1 mpg so if you got a kegger then no, but if you switch to an air gap and get a spacer from a sucker that wasted his money on one to put on a kegger for a steal then it might be worth it. lol
