I have a 98 1500 4x4 5.9. When i start to take off the truck will shudder some. It will do fine until it goes into drive and it surges some. Like the tranny aint wanting to shift, it does it two or three times and then it will finally shift. Any ideas? Thanks

 

When is the last time the truck had a tune-up?

 

I'm not sure. I just bought it Sunday.

 

That's where I would start then. Do a complete inspection. All tune up parts, brakes, lines, etc. If something looks questionable, replace it.
