Default Dodge ram 1996 5.9 ambient air temp

Can anyone tell me where I can locate the ambient air temp sensor ? I have an error P0711 from my OBD2. Thanks for your help. A pic or detailed description would help me greatly as I need to replace it

Cool Here you go!!!!

Locate the ambient temperature sensor, on the underside of the hood near the hood latch striker

1.Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.

I don't know if this is where it supposed to be because on my 95 the ambient air sensor was actually missing, but I found the wiring for it dangling below the bumper closer to the driver side. I got a new sensor and mounted it a hole I found near that location. The wiring seemed to be bundled together with the wiring for the fog lights if that helps you find where I am talking about.

mine is behind the grill, it goes up into the air when you lift the hood. IIRC, somebody mentioned that on older model vehicles had it behind on of the front rad supports.
