Recently Ive heard a strange ticking coming from the engine. It doesnt sound like its an engine ping or sparkplug knock. I was told it could of been an exhaust leak but I have not found one. The sound has been traced down to the driver side valve cover.
It increases with acceleration.
Any suggestion on what it could be, and if it is the rocker arms how can I adjust them.

pull the valve cover, and see if you can figger out which one it is. Might be a lifter going bad. Or, still could be an exhaust leak...

 

Ive been looking around for an exhaust leak every where. The only place I can think of is the collectors , because of a s***** weld job that was done on the c/c install the pipes had to be bent.. I havent been able to find it.

I will check the lifters.

Edit: I took a look at it before work. The ticking sound is coming from right under the back 2 fuel injectors on the drivers side. When I grab ahold of the injector plugins I can sort of feel a stronger pulsing thats in sync with the tick.

Any ideas on what I should do?
