Hi everyone, so I have another thread concerning oxygen sensor replacement but am starting this new one so I can focus on this issue seperately. I spent hours conducting research to find the correct 02 sensors for my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Sport, 5.2L 318, Automatic transmission, Federal Emission truck. I ordered two NTK oxygen sensors and they are part numbers 23139 (pre-CAT) and 23140 (post-CAT). Well they finally got here today and I went to replace them, got the first one disconnected, and the damn connectors don't match. The connectors on my truck are the round shaped fittings with four round male electrodes. The NTK and most brands of this year are the square shaped fitting. I can't figure this head ache out. Can you all please help? Do I have the wrong connectors already on my truck? I can take photos tomorrow and upload them to this thread for clarity.

 

NTK 23151 is the same one that would fit my truck, and it has a round connector. I actually used a Denso 234-4076 sensor because I got it cheaper than a NTK at Rock Auto.

The 23139 and 23140 are for a California truck, therefore the square plugs.

 

Sorry youngster, your wrong. I just replaced my pre and post O2 sensors, and the connectors on both are round...I have a cali truck.

There isn't even a part number 23151 listed. I ordered 23139 and 23140, pre and post Exc. Cali A/T and these do not fit my truck. I will definately upload photos tomorrow. Does anyone else have any input?
