Default RPM? for guys with 3.55's

What does ur tach read at interstate speeds? Mine says in turning 2800rpm @ 72mph. I think that is a little high, like my truck isn't going into od or something. Thanks

96 with 3.55's, and 265/75R16's.... Right about 2200 RPM at 70-75.

I think you are not getting fourth gear, or TCC lockup. Getting any codes?

i agree it is a little high. 96 1500 5.9 at 65 mph should be 2000 to 2200. take your truck out and see what your shift range is ( rpm it shifts at and how many you feel) oh works best when you put your foot in it a little.

No lights on at all. Just high rpm's. I'm pretty sure it aint going to od or tranny slipping.
