Default Newbie questions

I just bought a 1997 Dodge 1500 4x4 and ordered 3 inch coil spacer for the front and add a leafs for the rear, will i need a new pitman arm? Can i get away with using the stock arms? What other mods would i need to do if i ordered 2500 V10 springs and what would be needed to level the truck if i put the 2500 v10 springs in it?

Those springs will give you another 2 inches, plus or minus, of lift. That will put you over the magic number of inches you can safely run the stock control arms at though. You will need different ones, that may or may not require relocation of the frame side brackets.

3" lift shouldn't require a pitman arm, or, longer control arms.

You could use the new springs INSTEAD of the coil spacers though.....

I want to use both so i guess i'll have to get a set of arms. I'm hoping that between the lift and the spring i should be able to run a set of 35's without any problems.

You would be better off just buying a 5" kit, that comes with everything you need.....

Kits never seem to stand up to the abuse i dish out. I think this plan should stand up to what i think is tough. I will add a set of blocks in the rear to bring it up to the proper height i want. I think i might need a drop pitman arm too.

After looking over my budget i seem to have spent most of it already and haven't even bought the coils, i better scale back to just the spacer and add a leaf and stick to 33's till my budget goes up into the black.
