i just bought a truck and it runs great but only has 1rst and 2nd gear nothing else the tranny was a reman tranny with 10,000 miles on it and idt it the sncros becasue it wont even find the gear and from what i know if the sncros go out it will grind but this will not do anyhting so if u know anything about the nv3500 please help im thinking about rebuilding it but i think it might be an easy fix just thought id ask for some help

 

Just replace it. Or, talk to the company where it came from, and see if there is any warranty left on it.

Might be a good time to upgrade to the NV4500.

 

If the gears aren't "there", it certainly sounds shift rail related.

 

thats what i was thinking becasue the tranny looks new but the warrenty wouldnt be any good on it the guy had it for 3 years but it sat the whole time
