ABS and Brake light on
What year is the truck, 4x2 or 4x4, 4 wheel ABS or two wheel?
If it's a 1999 4x2 with 2 wheel ABS. The ABS sensor is on top of the rear differential. You'll see a few wires coming out of the top of the pumpkin. You've got two bolts that you've got to take off to pull it out, one holds the brake lines on, and the other bolt attaches the sensor to the differential, I really don't remember what the sizes of the bolts were, but I believe the top nut is a 13mm and the bottom is a 14mm. You'll need to use an open ended wrench to hold the bottom nut while you remove the top nut, otherwise you won't get it to come off. Once you get the top nut off all you've got to do is remove the bottom one, then you'll have to wiggle the sensor to get it out. I used a small, thin putty knife to wedge underneath it ... do not force it out, if you break it you'll be replacing the fluid in the differential since plastic pieces will drop into the diff.
Here's a link to what the part looks like. Even though if you buy it from O'Reilly it comes with the cage, extra length of wire, etc. You'll have to zip strip the wire to something so it doesn't get chewed up by the drive shaft.

mine got screwed up by moisture after I got stuck in a deep mud bog. it caused the brakes to lock up pretty bad.
