Tranny Problems???

Does it happen only when the tranny is in a specific gear or approaching an upshift?
If not, I think you may be able to eliminate the tranny as the cause, which, after eliminating the brakes, leaves the diff.
Edited to add these outside-of-the-box solutions: The splines in the tailshaft of the tranny could be binding with the yoke on the driveshaft (which would probably be due to debris in there).
Also, if your truck has a carrier bearing (will look like it has 2 driveshafts) the bearings inside could be shot, which would possibly give you an intermittent problem like this.

I really think it is as it is approaching second gear, because like I said, when I put it in first, I ca bounce it off rev limiter (only done that once), but when I leave it in drive, it feels like it winds out first, locks up enough to slow down, never completely locking down and sliding tires, then starts all over. It blows my mind, I have it up on stands and have had a few people watch it, no one has a clue about it. I really want to thank you guys for taking the time to help me.

Ok so what do you guys think....I found a salvage yard about an hour and a half from me in rock hill, sc where I get to pick the truck I want tranny from, pull it my self, and only pay $89. If it works, I take my tranny back to them and get $25 back making a trans replacement cost what $64? I think I should at least take a look into it, I have already called them and it is legit.
