do you think this would be a fun truck ?
my dad has a 95 ford f150 4.9L 5speed 2wd and he has driven on practically bald tires some years. weight is nice but doesn't always help. the main thing is drive smart try not to go up hills if you can go down them.
I agree with crazzywolfie i have 700 pounds of tube sand in my bed and that helps a little, the best way for me was drivin smart, dont speed up to lights or wait to brake 20 feet before you want to stop, just easy on everything
I was actually thinking of selling my Ram and going with a Dakota with the 4.7L Powertech. Better fuel economy and good power. I'd have to have a 4x4 Quad Cab though.
I would however, very much miss the deep throaty Magnum.

ok just got done looking at it, it was very smooth, good shifts, motor sounds good. the only thing is that the cat rattles so im sure the cat is about on its last leg. prob going to be installing a highflow cat anyways if i decide to buy it. also the lowest he will go is 4000. still undecided he says he will get it inspected if i buy it.

well i brought my macanic with me my neighbor. he actaully the one that drove it since i dunno how to drive a 5 speed lol
its either buy this truck or get some new gears for the ram. which i dunno because my ram is coming up on 150xxx and this dakota only has 74xxx and i can swap some parts over and make profit off the ram and save up for a new 4x4 for winter
