it could be it, but i highly doubt it because it sounds like its coming from the passenger side, but i can feel it in the floor boards. it only happens when the passenger front wheel hits a bump. it even happens when backing out of my driveway.

I was going to suggest the same thing about the steering column bushing when the OP posted the thread. But I figured he would know about that since he's been here for so long. And has already checked it. Anyway, I agree.

I have the same clunking issue. Something I have recently discovered is that there are major flaws in our steering colum, and thats where a good majority of clunking problems come from. Check out... http://www.rocksolidramtrucksteering.com/

I think I have narrowed my problem down to this. I have not checked yet to make sure (I just discovered this two hours ago) But I think I will be ordering this part. I have checked everything else (joints, busings, rods, shocks, ect) Check out the site and good luck!

well, i have some more info. i put my plow on today to move it forward a bit so my girlfriend can get her car into the driveway, well with the plow on it doesnt do, if it does its not as noticable. so this lead me to believe it has something to do with a suspension component. im going to triple check the column, but im almost positive its not it.
