about 2" maybe a bit more, only with diesel or v10 springs. regular gas 3/4 ton springs wont lift any.

Regular 3/4 and 1 ton gassers sit about two inches higher in front than their 1500 counterparts, so, I think you will get some lift with those as well. Prolly not as much as the V-10, or diesel springs... but, go with what's available.

Yep, 1/2 ton 3/4 ton and 1 ton springs are all the same diameter and will swap out.

The 3/4 ton 5.9 GAS springs typically will only gain 1 1/2 - 2" on a half ton, while the V-10 and Cummins springs will be closer to 3". The diesel springs I used on my 2nd gen gave me just over 3".

So what is the ride like with the longer springs...does it make much of a difference in stiffness or sidesway. I was looking into this earlier to gain 2" more of front suspension travel but didn't get much feedback...the feedback i did get said it would be much stiffer when the plow is not on.

So now i have 2" coil spacers that i am about to put on the front but after reading this i am still wondering if used 2500 springs would be better/cheaper. Also, I am throwing new Bilstein HD shocks on all four corners.

as stated in your plowing post jeremy, the ride isnt much stiffer. its a truck, no matter what you do the ride will be stiff. diesel springs are amazing with a plow truck. my truck drops maybe an inch. i have an 8ft plow too. with my stock springs it used to bottom out and then some. now that i have the diesels its a whole different animal!

prolly stupid question but if I was to put 3/4 ton springs all the way around (coils in front leafs in back) on my 1500 do I need to change anything else?
