Default Break dust!

so i have to go out and scrub the break dust off my rims every couple days.. why is there so much break dust collecting?

Because the rear shoes are not adjusted properly, so the front is doing all the work.

yeah cause theres never any on the rear just the front.. how do i adjust them so it doesnt no this?

Go to the FAQ section and download the 2001 service manual. Or get a Haynes manual. Which btw, you should have anyway.

Also a swap to ceramic pads would help lower the brake dust

yeah i asked my dad he said he got the cheapest brakes so i need to get some better ones... but also when i brake it like shakes which means the rotors a warped a little bit would tht increase the break dust.

Warped rotors won't increase brake dust. Cheap pads, on the other hand, most certainly well.

Brake pads are one of those parts that I will NEVER cheap out on..... after all, your life depends on your brakes.......

I went through two sets of the cheap pads in six months, spent twice as much on the good ones and it's been a year and a half. Ya get what ya pay for.

For vehicles I intend to keep for the foreseeable future, I buy the lifetime warranty fellers, and never pay for them again.
