Okay so this is what is happening. it started out as when im running 70 constantly it will start to hesitate and loose speed. if i hit the gas then it will kick hard and jump out of its hesitation. then the other day i was leaving and it just started idle really rough. like it sounded like i had a cam. btw it sounded badass but it wasnt good. so today when i got off work i went and bought a tps and that didnt fix it. i was thinking maybe iac? but im not sure. btw my cat is gutted and i do get my front bank o2 sensor code sometimes but it rarely comes on. i am trying to get my exhaust fixed but i work two jobs one full time and one part time but i never have time to take it to the shop. so i was wondering what you guys think couuld be my problem..

Mods, 1.7 rr CAI, Exhaust, hemifever tuning, 180 t stat, and plenum gasket fix.

 

If you've got an oxygen sensor code, the sensor has been toast for quite a while already. Replace that sensor and see what happens.

Taking off the cat doesnt really do much for the health of the truck but when you take it to the emissions place there gonna be pissed

It depends upon your definition of bad, really. You might have to cheat the rear sensor to avoid CEL's, and may lose a bit of low end power that'll show up in the mid-range and top end. You'll dump more toxic pollutants into the air.

If you did the plenum fix because the old one was leaking oil into the intake, then it wouldn't be surprising to see both the pre-cat oxygen sensor and the cat being oil fouled. If in doubt about the cat, swap it out -- you don't need to find out the hard way about a cracked head in that #8 hole.

it was the front o2 sensor. the old one was soo bad it wasnt even funny. at the end of your o2 sensor where it has that metal shield. the old on wasnt even there and it was coated in soot so i dont believe it was reading much of anything,

 

If it was soot covered, chances are your cat saw a good amount of oil. An oil-fouled cat will crack your heads, and empty your wallet (and eat your children while killing your dog). Triple check the cat.
