Truck wont shift passed 2nd gear
lots of ppl say i should sell it but i love the truck to death and have thousands into it. i will only sell it for a good penny, at least 3/4 of what i have into it, or i would trade it for a cummins and there aint many ppl out there that will trade a diesel for a gas jobber even done up like mine.
i figured as much. i knew someone from the forum would have come across it lol
well it must have just had some wet electrical connections bc now it will run through the gears 1,2,3,lockup,OD but here and there the throttle needs to be peddled.
i checked engine codes for gov pressure codes and it doesnt have any, only think it has is VSS and IAC code.
Anybody think that the Vehicle speed sensor might affect the shifting?
I confirmed there is no water in the fluid, its not churned up or like a strawberry shake, it looks normal and fresh.

the Speed Sensor will only effect O/D....you wont be able to get into O/D cuz the truck doesnt know when to tell it to shift since the speedo wouldnt work.......i know from experiance with mine....
im leaning towards that now myself, i took her for a ride a litttle while ago and it will now shift through the gears but still needs a little bit of peddling here and there. so ill let it sit a few more days and then see whats up, its just my toy anywyas so its not like i drive it everyday anyways.
well im not sure why i have a vss code then bc my speedo works fine and my OD does also, maybe its a code that was thrown from doing the dana 60 swap, who knows, im not concerned lol
