Hey guys, im so bored with my Ram, i need new ideas, what could i do with my truck to make its resale value increase that would also be really cool and as cheap as possibble

Im down for anything
The only restrictions are spending limit (approx 5 grand) and difficulty (I must be able to do it myself with out a post lift, jacks only)

*1995 dodge Ram 1500 4x2 v6

Ideas ive been thinking about

*Dually conversion
*4x4 conversion
*Prerunner
*6x6
*Upgrade to a v8

Unfortunately........ nothing you can do to your truck (from your list), will increase the resale value of your truck, to the point that you will get any sort of return on your investment. Just the nature of the beast.

If you want to get a different vehicle, a better plan would be to clean it up really well, inside and out, make sure everything works as it should, runs/shifts nice, and then sell it.

What do you plan on doing with the truck....its a v6 2wd, so drop it and put some nice rims wont help resale too much but if it has some flow to it....it wont hurt it.

None of the things you listed are a good investment IMO. It's like throwing a dollar into your truck to get a nickel back. Just sell it and get a toy if you want one that bad. 5k plus whatever you make off of your present truck should be more than enough to get a 4x4/3500/whathaveyou.

On a side note: v6 dually? 6x6?....I dont think so. You aren't gonna spin 6 tires with 6 cylinders....not efficiently anyway.

Of those choices I think the v8 upgrade would be the best thing to do, but I also agree if you have 5k to spend it might be better to sell the truck you have, then get a 4x4 with the v8 and start working on upgrades for the new truck

I like redheads idea to drop it 2/4 and put some nice wheels on it. At least with the six you could still squeeze some decent mileage out of it.

dump it for whatever cash you can get out of it, get a cummins dually 4x4, then if you have money leftover get 6 x 6 conversion......that way youll still have 6 cylinders and we wont make fun of you for it lol
