Default has anyones 1.7 HS ???

has anyone ones HS came loose and needed tightning down ? im thinking mine may need done ? had them on for about 20,000 miles now ? i have a tisk tisk tisk noise when accerating.

maybe could it be the IAC making that noise being bad ?

i need too get this truck running good wanted to sell it but inspection killed me so going to keep it, not going to get the money i want for it.

also thinking of taking off the cherry bomb extreme and going to a glass pack or aeroturbine . need something thats si/so for a better sound than duel out.

last resort is im going to be buying new heads with new pushrods and spring. and then ill have the whole top end rebuilt.

rather not do all this , rather do it too the dakota since 4x4 arnt ment to go fast.

They shouldn't come loose. I checked mine after about 20,000 miles when I swapped valve covers and they were fine. Sounds like an exhaust leak.

If you suspect they're loose, remove the valve cover and check.

Also I highly recomend the Aero Turbine with a single exhaust. I didn't like it at all with dual 2.5" tailpipes but in a 3" single side exit it was fantastic.

Sound. Performance was the same between both. The dual tailpipes sounded like a big fart.
