Default 02 zip tied

I know its hack , I know its redneck butt.....

I purchased a new postcat 02. I have a gutted cat so i was going to install the nonfoulers but no autopart store around here has ever head of them so..... until I figure out a solution I left the old one in the pipe and disconnected it. I then connected the new one and zip tied it off the frame rail. It seems to be working I don't have a CEL yet.

I will try and figure out a new more permanent setup tomorrow , but what are the odds of its placement being permanent ??

O2's on these trucks are heated, so, they get quite hot. You want that sensor in the pipe.

the odds are actually pretty good. the pcm is just looking for the emissions reading from the post-cat to be less than the pre-cat, so having the sensor out in fresh air might be just as good as anywhere. give it a couple days to see if the CEL stays off.

worked good for me until mud and water got the best of the 02, so temporary should be fine
